Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program

Growing Season for 2011/2012

Enjoying fresh, in season, local produce is a wonderful thing.  We are excited that you and your families have expressed an interest in local produce and know that you make conscious decisions about the food you eat and businesses you support.  Everyone at Pustizzi Fruit Farm is thrilled to outline the following CSA program for your review.

Produce you can expect: A wide variety of our own grown fruits and vegetables.  See attached sheet (below) or ask us for our current produce list.

When: Scheduled start date for 2011 is set for 2nd or 3rd week of June and will run continuously 14 weeks thereafter.

Pick up procedure for your produce and what to expect:  Once we start the harvest season (2nd – 3rd week of June) each paid in full CSA member will receive a bag/basket of produce (shares) with a set dollar amount worth of produce. The harvest for that week will be divided equally per shares ensuring that all members are receiving the same quantity of each produce harvested.

Example:  If there are 20 CSA members and July 25th we harvest 50lbs of tomatoes, we would fill each bag/basket with 2.5lbs of tomatoes for those 20 CSA members.

The farm stand will be opened each Friday from 3pm – 6pm for the CSA members to pick up their shares of produce.  If you are unable to pick up your shares please ask another CSA member to pick up your share.  Also, if you are on vacation, etc., we ask that you give us at least a 3 day notice.  We will credit your account and supply you with additional produce as the harvest permits on future pick up dates.  Less than a three day notice will result in your shares being donated to the local food bank and your account will not be credited.

Cost:   Family of 3 or more in household $280.00 which equals $20.00 per weekly shares.Family of 2 or less in household $200.00 which equals $14.28 per weekly shares.

2011 Payment:  We ask that full payment per family plan to be made no later than March 26, 2011.

Weekly shares dollar values for produce will be based on the New Hampshire Weekly Market Bulletin (WMB) retail prices.  Please note that the WMB does not post retail prices for organic produce. Organic produce will be priced according to the average current local organic produce market prices. When available at the farm stand a $5.00 credit from your weekly share dollar amount can be used towards fresh local meats, eggs, milk, cheese, chicken, bread and our own baked goods. For more information and questions regarding this CSA program please contact Pustizzi's at: 796-6040.

Please Note:

Produce prices are subject to change due to market pricing
